Overview

The Najmat proposal was commissioned to examine how a mixed development could sit as part of a larger civic plan that had no built context set within a totally flat, desert environment. In response, the ground plane was sculpted to form a rolling green landscape with the retail mall and all pedestrian activity sheltered under its undulating form. The non-rectilinear block of office and residential were raised above the gardens.
