Brief

Much is said in the United Kingdom that we require better transport infrastructure, more affordable housing and an end to the blight of green belt development. The intersection of the eastern North-South rail network with the Oxford-Cambridge line that arcs across the country is a singular opportunity to address in a positive manner all of the Government’s aims.

Coupled to this, the Bedford hub, on the old London Brick site, has the possibility of being hot bed for new digital industries that can be supported by the twin academic centres while accessing London in 25 minutes. This master plan forms part of the strategic briefing paper issued for public consultation.
