Overview

The Artworks Elephant is a new creative hub in the heart of Elephant & Castle. Designed as an arts and creative enterprise community, the Artworks offers a range of spaces for hire for designer-makers and creative businesses, together with in-situ café, bar and library. These spaces are situated within recycled and refurbished shipping containers and configured around a courtyard arrangement that provides an external events space.

The temporary facility is situated on the site of the former Heyage Estate and was a joint venture between Lend Lease and the Artworks LLP, designed to bring life and activity to the area during its redevelopment and to act as an ‘incubator’ for entrepreneurs.
