Overview

Located on the north side of Charterhouse Street opposite Smithfield meat market, the existing six-storey office block was erected in 1930-31 as a commercial building but its yield was diminishing due to its age and lack of investment. A complete refurbishment was undertaken to re-service the entire property, open up a courtyard at the centre of the building, add a café and roof terrace, repair the external fabric and redo all the common parts.
